So over the past week I just have been trying to not get too excited about the whole adoption process & just enjoy it. Take each day as it comes & soak in the blessing He's giving us in the now. Well in all honesty there are those times that I've been day dreaming & longing of the day we can take a baby home. I play out the scenario. What will it be like to be at the house, just Jer & I, and baby....its kind of surreal. But something I long for & am so excited about!
Well and once again in Esther...God had something to say to me. Last night Beth Moore said "Longing is part of the waiting. And in every wait there is longing, and God WANTS to bless you, and He will, but for some reason the wait is necessary."
WOW.
Then she read Isaiah 30:18 & it says "Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him."
She also talked about how the wait is a necessary part of the longing process & how we are to remain focused on Him, and he will pour out His blessing on us.
And what a miracle that day will be.
Jeremy told all of Staff yesterday, and I told the people I serve with. We are amazed at the support system we have. Our Blue Ridge family has laughed with us, cried with us, and even prayed & begged on our behalf...and for them to be able to share in the Lord answering our prayers right in front of our eyes, has been amazing to all of us.
May we tell your story well, Lord.
